2009 Focus Group #1:  Defining Quality in Oral Health Care

January 22-23, 2009 - Tampa, Florida  (Grand Hyatt)

As part of our collaborative research related to our 2009 theme on Defining Quality in Oral Health Care, in January the Institute for Oral Health hosted the first of two focus groups with leading authorities to identify critical issues in dental care quality and important trends impacting access, delivery and treatment protocols.

Focus Group #1 discussion centered on the following issues:

  • Quality Care – A Payer’s Perspective (Delta Dental)
  • Using Outcomes in Oral Health Quality Assessment
  • Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Perspective on Quality
  • Data Models for Measuring & Improving Quality
